Zone 1 Schipp Shield & Cup – Mullumbimby

Zone One’s annual Schipp Cup and Schipp Shield competitions, formulated especially for lower grade players, took place Sunday 25^th August. 12 bowlers from each District, Clarence River, Norther Rivers East, Northern Rivers West and Tweed Byron, converged on Mullumbimby Bowls Club for the event. Three rounds of 15 ends were on the programme to tests the skills of the contestants. Clarence River District was the winner of both trophies taking out the Schipp Shield with 6 points + 29 agg.  and the Schipp Cup with 4 points + 40 agg. Tweed Byron was placed second in both competitions with  Northern Rivers East and Northern Rivers West filling the other placings.
